These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PuzzleWalker.com ("PuzzleWalker", "we", "us", or "our"), including its interactive map puzzles, games, content, accounts, scores, leaderboards, and related services.
By accessing or using PuzzleWalker, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
1. About PuzzleWalker
PuzzleWalker is an online educational and entertainment platform providing interactive map-based puzzles, geographic learning content, scores, leaderboards, and related features. We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features from the service from time to time.
2. Eligibility
You may use PuzzleWalker only where permitted by applicable law. If you are below the applicable age required to enter into an agreement in your jurisdiction, you should use the service with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required.
3. User Accounts and Social Login
Some PuzzleWalker features require an account. Accounts may be accessed through supported authentication providers such as Google and Facebook.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for maintaining the security of your account. You must not impersonate another person, provide information intended to mislead others, attempt unauthorized access, misuse authentication credentials, or use another person's account without permission.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PuzzleWalker only for lawful and legitimate purposes. You must not interfere with the service, circumvent security controls, introduce malicious software, manipulate scores or rankings through unauthorized methods, abuse automated systems, systematically scrape substantial portions of the service without permission, exploit vulnerabilities, or violate the rights of others.
5. Games, Scores, and Leaderboards
PuzzleWalker may record game activity such as attempts, hints, completion times, scores, ratings, stars, and other game statistics.
Scores and rankings are calculated using rules implemented by PuzzleWalker. We may modify scoring systems, rankings, game rules, or related algorithms when reasonably necessary. We may remove or invalidate scores reasonably believed to have been obtained through cheating, exploitation, technical manipulation, fraud, or other prohibited behavior.
6. Saved Games
PuzzleWalker may allow signed-in users to save unfinished game sessions and resume them later. Saved-game functionality depends on account status, server availability, browser functionality, and other technical factors. We do not guarantee that every unfinished game will remain available indefinitely.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, PuzzleWalker and its original content are owned by or licensed to PuzzleWalker. This may include website design, branding, original graphics, game interfaces, software, source code, original educational content, databases, and compilations.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, sell, license, or commercially exploit protected PuzzleWalker content without authorization, except where permitted by law.
8. Geographic and Map Information
PuzzleWalker may use geographic information, map data, boundaries, names, and other geographic resources from third-party or public sources. Such information may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or changes over time.
9. Third-Party Services
PuzzleWalker may integrate third-party services for authentication, advertising, analytics, hosting, security, and other functions, including Google and Meta services. Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider's own terms and policies.
10. Advertising
PuzzleWalker may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense. Advertisements are provided by third parties and may be selected or measured according to the advertising provider's systems, settings, applicable consent requirements, and policies.
11. Availability of the Service
We aim to keep PuzzleWalker available and reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, software updates, server or database problems, network failures, security incidents, third-party outages, or events beyond our reasonable control.
12. Changes to the Service
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of PuzzleWalker, including games, puzzles, scoring systems, accounts, leaderboards, or other features.
13. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary, including when a user violates these Terms, attempts to compromise the service, engages in fraudulent or abusive activity, manipulates game results, uses the service unlawfully, or creates security or operational risks.
14. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PuzzleWalker is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free, that game data will never be lost, that scores or rankings will always be accurate, that geographic information will always be current, or that third-party services will always be available.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PuzzleWalker and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other losses arising from or related to the use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where prohibited by applicable law.
16. Third-Party Links
PuzzleWalker may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. Such links are provided for convenience. PuzzleWalker does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or policies of third-party websites.
17. Privacy
Your use of PuzzleWalker is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed when updates are made.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute concerning these Terms or the use of PuzzleWalker shall be subject to the jurisdiction applicable under the law governing the service and its operator.
